Millennial Strict Adherent Of Islam Generation

In the era of society 5.0, a millennial santri must have 3 abilities, namely the ability to think critically, the ability to solve complex problems and be able to find problem solvers for himself and many people, and the ability to be creative. Currently a student is expected to be able to find a solution or problem solver in meeting their needs, so a student must study or seek broader information, have the ability to think High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), and try to create new innovations to facilitate work or activities so that they can meet his needs. This shows that a student must continue to be forward and open-minded, keep abreast of the times, be able to have integrity between humans and technology, and not forget to maintain the integrity and unity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. Because students are individuals chosen by the community who are expected to be able to do something to maintain the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and the welfare of religious people remains intact.

Quoted from the nu.or.id page, a santri is educated in a boarding school or educational institution to have character in himself, including curiosity, creativity, da’wah/communication, critical thinking, collaboration, responsibility, cultural and social responsibility, adaptability, media and digital literacy, problem solving and decision making and problem solving, so as to produce individuals with noble ethics, dependability and responsibility, possessing a positive attitude, honesty and integrity, motivated to grow and learn, tough and strong self and confidence. Santri also have to continue the struggle of KH. Hasyim Asy’ari and other scholars in facing the era of society 5.0, not only master the yellow book, but must master all areas of life.

Santri must also be brave and actively spread the statement that Islam is a tolerant and non-violent religion and continue to preach that Islam is a moderate and non-violent religion. It is hoped that they have the ability to be technologically literate, have an active mind and continue to innovate to make social changes in order to create the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, not to carry out slander, conflict, and hate speech. Therefore, students must also study general knowledge, not only are required to study religion. Because today’s era has changed to the digital era and the challenges that will be faced are also getting tougher, it takes a tough generation with strong religious knowledge as well as general knowledge.
